Great post, we&#039;ve taken a very similar route to the pattern you have described in the newton framework (http://newton.codecauldron.org) except instead of using spring-dm as the top level unit of deployment we&#039;ve decided to use SCA which is a public specification supported by most of the large vendors.

Importantly it is possible to use Spring-DM as implementation in an SCA model. So in this way you get the best of both worlds - functionality from Spring and standards from SCA.
